Thank you for considering Manhattan Christian Academy for your child’s education. We very much look forward to join with you in fulfilling God’s mandate to train up your child in the way they should go. Our application process is as follows:

Application Process (Grades 1-8)

1. Attend an open house or call for an appointment to visit the school. (Though this is not mandatory for acceptance, it is highly recommended). Open Houses are held the first Tuesday of each month at 9:00 am beginning in January through June.

2. Print and complete Application and send to MCA, attention Danielle Bonifas.

3. Submit a copy of your child’s last report card (for grades 1-8), and $35.00 for a testing fee only for children applying to grades 1-8.

4. Once the application and testing fee is received, a testing date will be given. All students applying for grades 1-8 will take a math and reading grade appropriate test. Depending on the grade level, the test takes approximately 1-2 hours.

5. You will be contacted with the test results in one week or sooner.

6. Once you have been accepted, you will need to provide us with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, a copy of their immunization card, a completed record release form (download) and the registration fee of $300 to secure the seat. Please note that this fee is non-refundable, since we are holding this seat for your child, and may be saying no to someone else.You will be given additional forms at time of registration (i.e. gym uniform, transportation form, medical form, tuition payment form).

Preschool Application Process

All children applying for preschool must be 2.9 years old by September 1st of the upcoming school year. Each child must be completely toilet trained before acceptance.

1. Attend an open house or make an appointment to visit the school.
2. Submit a completed application.
3. Provide a copy of the birth certificate and immunization card
4. Submit $300 registration fee to secure the seat. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable as since we say yes to your child, we are saying no to someone else who could have taken the seat.

Kindergarten Application

All children applying for Kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1st . It has been our experience, and that of many others, that children who do best in school are those who start school with the ability to respond to the challenges set before them. Among perfectly normal children, there is a range – often up to six months- of time when a child reaches each developmental milestone. School success is more attainable for children who are developmentally and chronologically five for entrance to Kindergarten, and six for entrance to first grade.

MCA desires a successful and encouraging school experience for your child. It does not depend solely on intelligence, but maturity, ability to socialize, and chronological readiness.

To Apply for Kindergarten:

4. Submit $300 registration fee to secure the seat. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable as it holds a seat for your child and prevents another from attending.
