Request For Manhattan Transportation Option For Students For September 2009 Through June 2010 The Office of Pupil Transportation (OPT), presently offers yellow bus service to students in the same borough the school is in. For this reason, we only have yellow bus service for students who live in Manhattan. This service is for children in Kindergarten through the second grade who live over ½ mile from the school, and for children in grades 3 through 6 who live 1 or more miles from the school. It is not a door to door service, but the bus stops are set up in the general vicinity of the homes of several of the students. The OPT requires a minimum number of students per bus route and the route cannot be longer than 5 miles. The Present OPT Yellow Bus stops are listed below, but are subject to change. 1.
