PreK - K5
The goal of our Pre-School program is to help young children grow and mature in a God centered environment with developmentally appropriate activities and instruction. MCA Pre-Schoolers participate in regular gym, music, and computer activities in addition to their classroom routines. Regular field trips are scheduled for our pre-school students to encourage their love of learning outside of the classroom.
There are four Pre-Kindergarten classes available for children who are ages 2.9 to 5 years old on or before September 1. All pre-kindergarten students must be completely toilet trained in order to attend. Caring teachers and full-time assistants teach students, providing age appropriate activities to develop the spiritual, social, emotional, congitive, and physical aspects of the student. Emphasis in Pre-Kindergarten is on learning through creative play and on phonemic awareness activities, a critical pre-reading skill.
Students in our Kindergarten classroom transition from our Pre-Kindergarten program as they prepare for 1st Grade. Greater emphasis is given to phonics skills in preparing students for reading readiness.
