PM/Afterschool

We understand that parents may also require care after the end of the school day. For your convenience, we offer after-school care, which is available whenever school is in session. MCA’s afterschool program provides students with a supportive environment for homework completion, academic enrichment, and structured play.

Schedule (Sample)

• 3:55-4:05 | Check In

• 4:05-4:50 | Snack and Free Play

• 4:50 - 6 | Homework, SSR (silent sustained reading), Math/Reading Enrichment on IXL and Khan Academy, Quiet Play

Location: MCA Cafeteria; use the main entrance, EXIT A, on W. 220th Street.

Supper: Cold options (salads, wraps, etc.) are available at no additional cost. Your child may also bring a light snack from home.

Hours of Operation: 3:30 pm to 6 pm

Afterschool begins at 3:55 pm for all students not picked up by their parents or guardians. Please remember to sign your child out at pickup to ensure their safety. 

Cost: $4 per half-hour for the first child, $3 per half-hour for each additional sibling.

Late Policy: After 6 pm, a $20 fee applies for each additional 15-minute increment.

Pick Up: Your child's information in FACTS SIS must be kept up to date. If your address, place of work, or phone number changes, please notify the school immediately or update your FACTS SIS account. We cannot release your child to anyone unless it is noted on your registration forms.
