Academics

Biblical Worldview is woven throughout our day, as it is a central component of our school. It promotes academic rigor and encourages a Kingdom calling. Students at all levels are challenged to ponder and analyze what they learn and how it applies to God's truth.

All classes participate in at least one Service Learning Project. Students and their teachers work to bring restoration to God’s world and/or His people often using what they learned in class. Whether raising money for a cause, serving in a community, or creating something, students learn how to lead and serve. Community Service is also built into our middle school program.

The study of the Bible is foundational to our curriculum. Students study and memorize scripture and develop strong character quality and Biblical Worldview.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten uses the Jesus Storybook Bible and Positive Action curriculum to learn about God through a basic chronological overview of major Bible stories.

Grades 1-6

Grades 1-6 use an integrative curriculum, Building on the Rock, which combines Bible survey with worldview training, and includes Christian character building education. The worldview study progresses through foundational wisdom, relationships with God, others, and the earth.

Grades 7-8

Grades 7-8 apply their Biblical knowledge and worldview training by examining current issues using Light Bearers.

Literacy is a primary focus of our instruction. Throughout our school reading, writing, listening, and speaking are modeled, taught, and assessed, following the Readers and Writers Workshop models for instruction.

  • Technology --We have a state of the art computer lab that students visit weekly for instruction, practice, and research. All of our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards which provide teachers with a valuable resource. Additionally, most of our classrooms have at least one class laptop for student use and each K-8 classroom is furnished with a document camera.
